November of 2017 was when Elliott drafted the Destiny Elliott Journalism Foundation, a books scholarship given to two high school seniors of financial need with plans to study journalism at a college or university. This yearly scholarship is proof in its mission to “train up student journalists of today who will inspire and impact the media industry forever”.
After four fulfilling years at G.W. Carver High School, Destiny Elliott took her work ethics and skill sets to Georgia State University in Atlanta, with goals to become a news anchor and reporter. Carver's administrative staff was a part of the reason why Elliott's transition from high school to college was smooth. She knew she would find a way to give back.
Elliott graduated from G.W. Carver High School in Columbus as a member of the Class of 2016. During her four years at Carver, she was crowned Miss Sophomore 2013-2014, Public Relations Chair of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), President of C.L.I.M.A.X. Modeling Troupe, News Anchor of Tiger Talk, Yearbook Writer of Tigonian Staff, and a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), the STEM Magnet Program, Student Council, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Teen Advisors.
